Syllabus Description:

This course will introduce you to the society, culture and history of Indigenous Sámi of Norway, Sweden and Finland through the theme of decolonization. Issues and topics covered are decolonization, policy making, gender and identity, and social work issues. Also, Sámi issues are being presented together with issues among Indigenous Peoples in North America, regarding similar experiences of decolonization actions.
