Submitted by Elissa Washuta on

The Artist in Residence Diversity Project in the University of Washington’s College of Education is sponsored by the Dean’s Office, the Faculty Diversity Council, and the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion and Associate Students of the College of Education.  We are looking for a visual artist do do a large mural in Miller Hall beginning in the summer of 2016 and completing by the end of December 2016.  The artist will be expected to participate in two class sessions in autumn quarter 2016 to discuss the project as well as give a talk at the culmination of the project.  There will be a stipend of $3,000 for the artists’ time and supplies.  A plaque with a short biography of the artist will accompany the mural.

See the request for proposals for more information.
