Dr. Stephanie Fryberg, associate professor of American Indian Studies, and Dr. Christopher Teuton, professor and chair of the American Indian Studies department were both interviewed for a recent article published on the History Channel's website. The story, "Should America Take Down Monuments That Romanticize Conquistadors?" discusses the controversy over public statues of Spanish explorers who killed and enslaved Native peoples.
